Route to Market / Transformation
The Group's export model in China shows limited growth, and new RTM options have to be explored
The Group was operating in China through a pure export model with importers/distributors who delivered retailers and food service clients in Shanghai and Beijing mainly.
This structure limited potential for growth in China by creating a heavy dependency on distributor willingness to develop the business and strongly impacting the value creation.
To accelerate its development in China, the group decided to reinforce its footprint locally and to study different options of RTM.
